Dressing Down to Celebrate those with Disabilites
RRVDSS will be celebrating the entire month of March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, but within that month, we will also be observing World Down Syndrome Awareness Day. Our shirt this year, recognizes ALL those with a disability, while honoring our founding community of members with Down syndrome. We'd like for all schools and businesses to participate by allowing their employees to "Dress Down" and celebrate with us. Down syndrome is one of the known Developmental Disabilities, and remains the main focus of the Red River Valley Down Syndrome Society; although we serve ALL types of individuals through our programs and services, no matter what their disability may be.
We are selling T-Shirts to help celebrate and bring about awarness of ALL those with a disability and want people to know they have ABILITIES as well. We'd like for ALL Lamar County Businesses, Schools, and Individuals to Dress Down with us. Wear jeans to work/school on March 21st with this T-shirt and then take a group picture and email to firstname.lastname@example.org. These pictures will be shared on our website and facebook page throughout the day!
All orders must be turned in by March 12th at 3:00PM in order to have on March 21; World Down Syndrome Awareness Day.
