Buddy Baseball is an organized sports program for individuals in Pre-Kindergarten through Adult Hood, with intellectual and physical disabilities. The season is Spring 2019 and games are played at Woodall Field in Paris, Texas in affiliation with Dixie Youth Baseball and the Paris Optimist Club.
There is a $20 fee for players. (Scholarships are available for registration fee; upon approval) Registration is mandatory to play. The season begins with our first game being played on March 23rd. More information on schedules will be available in March. (Normally games are played on Saturday mornings from late March until mid-May.)
Each player is provided with a buddy (a consistent one if necessary) and parents are encouraged to enjoy the game from the sidelines. If a parent is needed by their child on the field, it is allowed, of course. Siblings can be buddies, but must be 12 years of age or older by March 23rd.
A release form must be signed by the parent/guardian before the player will be allowed to participate. That form will be available at any time by mail or at the initial team meeting. You can also download the form on the players page.
Registration deadline is March 2, 2019.
